A gem of a pub with friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere made for a pleasant stay, though the room was cramped compared to what was advertised. Breakfast was excellent, and the evening meals I observed looked appealing. a lovely experience with just a minor hiccup in room selection.

Couldn't recommend more for a short interlude

The dining area offered a cozy vibe, perfect for winding down after a long day. Breakfast included delicious cooked-to-order options that really hit the spot, and the real ales were a nice touch to enjoy after a long day exploring.
I found the staircase up to the rooms a bit steep and not exactly spotless, which could be off-putting for some. My room felt overly warm due to its location above the kitchen, and even with an open window, there was a lingering dated look in the bathroom. While the area could raise some eyebrows regarding car safety on the street, I appreciated being able to keep an eye on it from my window—a personal touch that gave me some peace of mind.
